Since Feyenoord's badge does a good job in communicating the key features of the club's identity, there was a lot to start working with, aiming to make improvements without altering too much.
In essence, the structure of the badge is the same, with the capital "F" behing the half and half background being still the main feature. However, the changes made were indeed significant. The words "Feyenoord Rotterdam" were supressed and the proportions of the different elements were resized to give much more space to the iconic red and white combination and the "F", made entirely new to look unique and better fit to use as a potential alternate logo. Finally, in the outer dark ring a smaller one features the classic golden color also used in the star, rounding up the palette.
The end result is a logic evolution of the current badge, but with a modern look.
